Our Paralegals
Elaine Y. Kwon
For 11 years Elaine Kwon has worked as a paralegal. A paralegal's
duties include signing up new clients, keeping clients informed
on the progress of their cases, and preparing cases for negotiations
or trial. She also serves as the office manager.
Ms. Kwon is from Seoul Korea. She attended college in Hawaii.
When clients receive a good settlement and are pleased with the
firm at the end of the case, Ms. Kwon considers her job well done.
Paige K. Lee
Paige has worked at Buckley & Associates since 1997. Being
able to speak Korean as well as English helps her communicate with
many different clients. For four years Ms. Lee worked in an insurance
agent's office, before becoming a paralegal. She also worked at
a diamond specialty store. Ms. Lee was raised in Seattle and attended
Community College and the University of Washington.
She is proud to have a family and enjoys spending time with her
children. She works out at the gym, does aerobics, skis, and does
church activities.
Yvette McDonald
Yvette McDonald is originally from Panama, Republic of Panama and
is fluent in Spanish.
Ms. McDonald received her degree in General Business/Accounting
from North Seattle Community College. She later received her paralegal
certificate from Eastern Washington University Continuing Education.
Ms. McDonald is a member of the Washington State Paralegal Association
and the National Federation of Paralegal Associations. Prior to
becoming a paralegal, Ms. McDonald worked in the banking industry
for six years.
Trong P. Tang
At Buckley & Associates, Trong Tang works primarily with Vietnamese
and Asian clients as a paralegal. Mr. Tang has over a decade of
experience as a paralegal and feels rewarded when a client received
fair compensation for his/her injuries.
Before his career as a paralegal, Mr. Tang served in the Vietnamese
Air Force as a fighter pilot. He also worked for the Pierce County
Assessor's Office as a property appraiser.
Trong Tang is very active in the Asian community. He founded the
Vietnamese Air Force Association of Washington State and co-founded
the Indo-Chinese Cultural Center of Pierce Countty. Mr. Tang serves
on the board of directors for the Refugee Service Center, is chairman
of the Southeast Advisory Council to the Seattle Chief of Police,
and a chairperson of the Lunar New Year Celebration. Mr. Tang received
an award for distinguished service to the community.
Mary W. Zhu
Mary Zhu came to the United States from Beijing China where she
originates. She graduated from Central Washington University as
an accounting major. Mary continued her education at Seattle Pacific
University receiving her Masters in Business Administration in 1991.
She is continuing her education by working toward a paralegal certificate.
Ms. Zhu worked as an accountant prior to becoming a paralegal.
At the office, Ms. Zhu works primarily with Chinese clients, and
is proud that her bilingual ability enables her to serve the Chinese
community.
